First Light

ripples of life
in the sun-burnt country
wattle blossoms

first light of dawn
the rainbow lorikeet dances
in the wind

i sit like a soul deprived
watching the love particles in motion
marigold flowers

a splash of colours
on the fragile leaf of desire
haiku chic

happiness
in my father’s house -
morning glory

true love
flows in my veins
heartbeat of the light

the delicate beauty drops
like honey
energizing my soul
