i beat the odds
waves of mesmerising calm
run through my veins

winter rain
i shelter under the sumptuous
wings of beauty

exile in Terra Australis
the lonely sun
breaks through the cloud

love winks
the galaxy gives up its secrets
tears of joy

dream of certainty
a poem writing itself in the new
light of dawn

scent of the beloved
i tremble with delight
like this butterfly in my garden

viola in her element
how wonderful is the winter
flowering genius

grains of laughter on my pillow
i crack the secret code
of desire in the nick of time
