Winter Night's Dream

winter’s night
one atom touches my lonely heart
songs of praise

saints and sinners
in the Dreamtime garden foretold
the rise of white blossoms
the vivid memories
of first love portrayed
how wonderful
is the tender hand of the beloved?

i hover in your orbit
like the love particle on heat
re-imagining the “i”

the ancient night
weaves a new
vision
of reality
with words
of love
feeding my dreams

i come of age
in the nick of time
eating the moon

and the earth moves
and the frisky neutrons
strut their stuff
in silence
i take
a chance
on you and win

love illuminates
the attic of my consciousness
purifying my soul
