with joyful petals of light
as the lovely spring colours
adorn the meadow
the golden wattle sings
touching my heart
caressing my soul with the deep fragrance of beauty
this glorious day
i emerge from
the ‘hood of coolness like a hero
like the rainbow warrior
striving for perfection in the first light of dawn
