battling the ingrained emotions
of love, fear, wonder and guilt
in the prefrontal cortex of the soul
shifting between the heart and mind
you hover around
my moral universe
in the first light of dawn
tempting me
with the glorious
fragrance of desire
love molecules run
through my veins
like the drones of choice
at the cutting-edge of cool
revealing
the precious art of survival
i can feel your heartbeat
your insatiable longing…
your inner state of mind
your excitement in the fleeting
moment of time
that defines my consciousness
