The Light of Learning

inspired by the luminous landscape
of promise at the end of the rainbow
the heart blossoms
in the marble halls of learning
(a home of infinite wisdom
among the gum trees)
sharing the joy
listening to the poetry of atoms and molecules
devouring the magic
flavours of reason
as the colourful beam of light
lurks in the spaces between words
i mine the rich seam
of truth and desire
in the first light of dawn
revealing the gift divine:
the flood of joy and happiness
in the strange thicket of the soul.
