The Sound of Summer

festive day in the city
the gusts
of summer wind

i sing like the rainbow warrior
on heat
glowing with intense inner life

waiting for the yellow moon
i sip
a cup of you in silence

how beautiful is the sunflower in the
garden of life
the scent of summer solstice

a fun night of nights sublime
yet, you sit like
a lonely heart reading haiku

in the dreamscape of destiny
i eat the
luscious moon before the first light of dawn

plunging into sweetness
i listen to
the sound of summer rain

behold a thousand colours of wonder
in my orbit
i burst into the vibrant life in the nick of time
