the rocky road to Utopia
under the darkening sky
yet, despite the mud, sweat
and endless tears

you seize the day with ease
like the noble dreamer
of old, you search for
a better life
on the landscape of promise
you conquer loneliness
in the field of dreams
flirting with the colourful birds of desire
in the scented lane
a splash of inspiration runs through my veins
clearing my vision
as the journey continues in earnest
chasing the dream
behold the sound of joy near the Pearly Gate
a taste of love and compassion
as dream blossoms
in the migrant universe of everything
