Garden of Wonder

with those painful years
in retreat
i float like the gentle wind
in the garden of wonder

i eavesdrop on the tender blossoms
in the precious moment
of heightened awareness
feeling the love

i bask in the intimate rivers
of nectar divine
as i venture further afield
into the melting pot of everything

i enrich my soul
with the magic fragrance
of the desert rose: a potent symbol of love
the building block of poetry and desire

i morph into your essence
feasting on the sparkling
waves of fun and meaning
in the inner sanctum of dreams
as new life begins in earnest
