Ode to God Particle

you bathe my
soul in the light of wonder
feeling the power of God particle

now, you bring matter
into being; nourishing the elusive
atoms and quarks of time

like the moon in me,
you infuse my being with the thinking
particle of desire

you are the invisible
force of nature; the omnipresent
author of my life

you, Higgs boson, flirted with passion
after the Big Bang
rousing the love molecules in my veins

i break into joyfulness as the cosmic wave
dances to the rhythm of the earth
how wonderful is your essence; oh, Precious One

you are the music of light, the creative
impulse holding up the sky: can the spider’s web
exist without the design and the Designer?

behold the dark enigma
showing the divine lights of love
comforting my humble soul

you are the glue that holds
the secret of the universe; giving
birth to TOE, the theory of everything

Haiku Rain

the golden wattle blossoms
filling my
emptiness with dreams

fresh face
in the ‘hood…the scent of
jasmine on my pillow

haiku rain…
nourishing the naked trees
of Findon in silence

your sweetness runs through
my veins
like the gift of life

little nuns of delight
in my visual field, how delicious is
the taste of your lollipop

love bites…
savouring the blissful moment
under the rose petals

Love Song from the Heart

i search for blossoms
along the winding path of destiny
finding your essence
the sensual lips of fire sublime

you are the fragrance of wonder
the delicate flower of the heart, whose gentle touch
heals the invisible wounds of time;
rousing the love molecules within

then, in my voyage of longing,
you sing to me like an angel on heat
like the songbird of the light
like the lover in the moist hour; nourishing my soul

how wonderful
it is to love and be loved (lighting up with smiles);
morphing into the heart of one so precious
the youthful spirit divine

i watch as you quiver with delight; beating
chaos into form; bubbling with desire
in a world illuminated by dark matter and
the powerful eyes of Venus

yet, the immense beauty
of your freshness liberates
my consciousness
the scent of honey delights

you are the divine petals of hope
the creative pollen of desire
the invisible flame of flames that
purifies my soul as I soar like an eagle

ripples of life
in the sun-burnt country
wattle blossoms

first light of dawn
the rainbow lorikeet dances
in the wind

i sit like a soul deprived
watching the love particles in motion
marigold flowers

a splash of colours
on the fragile leaf of desire
haiku chic

happiness
in my father’s house -
morning glory

true love
flows in my veins
heartbeat of the light

the delicate beauty drops
like honey
energizing my soul

Autumn Leaf

the maiden
flight of the autumn leaf
evening chill

the shadowy world
of silence in the making…
slippery slope

yet, I find solace
in the narrow road of desire
fragrant flowers

the African violet opens the
graceful bud I love
sweet rivers of hope

i stand lonely
like the dreamtime thinker
raking the fallen leaves

now, the delicate autumn
dances to the rhythm of the earth
gentle eyes of beauty

the heart sings…
how wonderful is the taste of
the forbidden fruit

who says autumn is dead!

Empty Nest

an empty nest
in the field of dreams
crazy cloud
riding the waves of despair
over the limits of youthful ambition

now, as the moon flees the coop
i walk lonely like an orphan deprived
like the mystic poet
on heat; pondering the human condition
in the velvety silence of the slumbering night

behold the colourful bird
of light in the golden path of reason
a healthy diet of Plato,
aristotle, Hobbes, and Dickens nourishes my soul
in the exotic landscape of the mind

a new
dawn in Terra Australis
and yet
my heart yearns for you. How painful
are the lingering thoughts of love so great

every dreadful step
along the fatal shore (every drop of
sorrowful tear)
reminds me of your sweetness,
the unadulterated beauty of your essence

you are the flame
of flames, the thinking petals of hope,
the sensory wonder
of desire whose gentle touch unlocks
my humble heart
