The New Dawn

from the dust
of rotten memories
of the recent past
you arrive
in the migrant universe
like the silent
bird of wonder
in the magical land of Oz
tasting the light with
soft and tender eyes
as new life begins
in earnest

you nourish my soul with glee
you bring me
closer to the naked rose
the divine
petals of desire

you swim in my favourite
poetry of desire
longing for more
embracing the new dawn
with a broad smile
on your face
a smile that melts my humble heart
